Detectives are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Markethill in the early hours of today, Saturday 14th September.
Shortly after 2am, it was reported that a number of men forced their way into a house in Bunker Hill by smashing the back-door window.
Detective Sergeant Robinson said: “The victim, a man in his 30s, was assaulted with a blunt object, likely a bat or similar, with injury caused to his head and legs. Colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service took him to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a stable condition at this time.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information, including dash-cam or other footage, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 106 of 14/09/24
