Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious assault in Antrim on Wednesday evening, 15th April.
Detective Sergeant Erskine said: “We received a report at approximately 10pm of a man located in the Dublin Road area with severe facial injuries – consistent with a suspected assault.
“The man, aged in his 20s, required hospital treatment for his injuries. A 27-year-old has been arrested following this incident and he remains in custody at this time as our enquiries continue into what happened.”
“We would be particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was in the Greenview Avenue area of the town around 9pm who may have witnessed a fight.”
Anyone with information that could help, including dash-cam, CCTV or mobile phone footage, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1681 15/04/26.”
