Detectives are appealing for information following reports that shots had been fired at a property in the Creggan area of Derry/Londonderry yesterday evening, Monday 11th May.

Detective Inspector Lavery said: “After receiving a number of reports of loud bangs in the Circular Road area, officers attended and discovered a number of gunshot strikes to the front door of the house.

“Luckily the resident was not in the property at the time.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed and suspicious vehicles in the area or to anyone who may have CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist with enquires to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 1859 11/05/26.”
