Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an attempted robbery at commercial premises in Dundalk Street, Newtownhamilton, on Friday 7th February.
It was reported that a masked man, wearing dark clothing and armed with a knife entered the premises shortly before 9pm. He approached a kiosk inside the premises and passed a note to a member of staff with a demand that they hand over money. The staff member instead pressed a panic alarm and the male then fled the scene empty handed.
