Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an attempted robbery at an off-licence on the Old Park Road, north Belfast, on Friday 3rd October.

It was reported that a man, armed with a knife, entered the premises shortly before 12.30pm on Friday afternoon and demanded money from a staff member. No money was handed over and the man left the scene empty handed, making off along Alliance Avenue on foot. The staff member was left badly shaken by the incident. The suspect was described as being aged in his late 20’s or early 30’s and was wearing a dark blue hoody and was carrying a green Co-Op bag.

Detectives would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have captured dash-cam or CCTV footage from the area which could help with their investigation, to call them at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 675 03/10/25.
