Detectives are appealing for information following reports of three burglaries in east Belfast in the early hours of this morning, Monday 12/05/25.
Detective Sergeant McGearty said: “At approximately 4.30am, two reports were received that residents had been woken by persons who had gained access to their homes in the Carncaver Road area.
“In one of the properties, the suspects were disturbed and made off before taking anything.
“A handbag and mobile phone were taken from the second property.
“The two suspects are believed to have made off on a small dark coloured moped / motorbike; the driver wearing a red helmet and the passenger wearing a dark helmet.
“A third burglary was reported in the nearby Tudor Drive area.
“It is believed that sometime overnight access was gained to the house and a bag, a wallet and a sum of cash were taken.
“We are investigating a possible link between all three incidents and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anyone suspicious in the areas or to anyone with CCTV or other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 113 12/05/25.”
