Detectives are appealing for information following a report of arson with intent to endanger life at a property in Pomeroy early this morning, Tuesday 16th June.

 

Detective Inspector Ryan said: “At approximately 1.30am, we received a report of a fire at a house in the Loughdoo Road area.

 

“Officers attended along with colleagues, from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who extinguished the blaze. There were no injuries reported.

 

“We have launched an investigation and are treating this fire as arson with intent to endanger life, our enquiries are ongoing.

 

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, particularly in relation to any suspicious vehicles seen in the area at the time, or who may have CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist the investigation, to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 75 of 16/06/26.”
