Detectives are investigating the report of a serious assault at Drumadoon Drive in Dundonald, on Saturday 18th July.

It was reported that a man, aged in his 20’s, was assaulted by two males as he walked along the street shortly before 10pm on Saturday evening. One of the males was reported to have been carrying a metal bar or a similar type of weapon. The victim required hospital treatment for serious cuts to his head and a broken arm as a result of the attack. Officers attended the scene and arrested a 34 year old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and a 38 year old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. Both men remain in police custody at this time.
