Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of a theft from a building site in east Belfast.

Officers received a report shortly after 5.30pm on Sunday 16th March, that a vehicle entered a building site in the Pottinger Street area.

The driver exited the vehicle and proceeded to attach a trailer that belonged to the site, to his car, and drove off in the direction of Beersbridge Road.

Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing to anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation or has CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone footage, to contact them on 101, quoting reference 1163 16/03/25.

Officers are especially keen to hear from anyone who noticed a dark-coloured Mitsubishi Shogun, with a tyre mounted on the rear hatch, acting suspiciously in the Pottinger Street area between 4.30pm and 5.30pm, to get in touch.
