Cannabis plants uncovered during search.

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Organised Crime Branch seized a large quantity of drugs following the discovery of a cannabis factory in Enniskillen.

On Friday, 20th March, officers carried out a search of a property in the Drumgarrow Court area and uncovered a large number of cannabis plants along with other drug paraphernalia.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of drug related offences and is currently in police custody.

A spokesperson said: “This cannabis grow is now being dismantled and the plants within, which represent a significant quantity of street drugs, will be removed and destroyed.

“Targeting drugs supply is a priority for local police and our officers are always on the lookout for any potential criminal activity.

“Information from our communities is critical and we continue to ask anyone who has knowledge of drugs activity or who suspects cannabis cultivation may be taking place in their neighbourhood, to please bring that information to us and we will act upon it.
