Detectives in Ballymena are appealing for information following the report of an aggravated burglary at a property in Andena Grange, on Saturday 11th April.
It was reported that two males called to the door of a flat in the area sometime between 8.30pm and 10pm on Saturday evening and attacked the male occupant when he opened the door. The occupant, aged in his 40’s, was stabbed several times with a pair of scissors but managed to fight the attackers off. During the struggle however the occupant had his mobile phone, wallet and watch stolen. The injuries sustained by the occupant were thankfully relatively minor and did not require hospital treatment. The attackers were described as being aged in their 20’s and wearing baseball caps.
Detectives would ask anyone with information about this incident, or who may have captured dash-cam or CCTV footage from the area which could help with their investigation, to call them at Ballymena on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 592 13/04/26.
