Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a number of reports of burglaries and attempted burglaries in the Ravenhill Road area of south Belfast which occurred this week.
Detective Sergeant McGearty said: “On Wednesday 19th March, it was reported that at around 1.45am, a man approached the rear door of a house in the Ravensdene Crescent area, but made off after a security light came on.
“A report was also received on the same day of a burglary at a house in the Ravenhill Park area, during which a camera, a laptop, and a sum of cash were taken. This took place just after 2am.
“It was further reported that a man attempted to enter another house in the Ravenhill Park area shortly before 2.10am on Wednesday 19th March. The suspect fled the scene after being unable to gain access to the property.
“Previously on 15th March, it was reported that a man opened the door of a car parked at a property at Ravenhill Park and rummaged inside, before leaving with a sum of cash.”
Detective Sergeant McGearty continued: “Detectives are investigating a possible link between these reports, and are asking anyone who might have any CCTV footage, or other information which could assist us with our enquiries, to get in touch.
