Detectives are appealing for information following a report of arson at residential premises in Derry/Londonderry on Friday evening, 20th February.

Detective Inspector Lizzie Ballentine said: “At around 7.30pm, it was reported to police that a wheelie bin had been pushed against a property in the Ballymagowan Gardens area and set alight. No one was inside the premises during the incident. Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances and police would appeal to anyone with any information to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1466 – 20/02/26.  Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
