Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Belfast earlier this week.
Officers attended the Cromwell Road area of south Belfast on Wednesday, 11 February, following the report of a concern for safety.
Detective Inspector Jack Kelly said: “The man, who is aged 33, was taken to hospital by colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service on Wednesday afternoon, but sadly later passed away.
“A 32-year-old man, who was arrested in connection with the investigation, remains in custody at this time.
“Our enquiries are continuing, and I am appealing to anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact our officers on 101 quoting reference 707 of 11/02/26.”
