Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland, who are continuing to investigate sporadic disorder in June, have made a further arrest.

A 40-year-old man was arrested in the Newtownabbey area this morning, Friday, 10th July on suspicion of a number of offences, including arson endangering life with intent, riot, criminal damage and unlawful assembly.

His arrest is in connection with a protest which took place in the Antrim Road and Sandyknowes Roundabout area of Newtownabbey on Wednesday, 10th June, when a lorry was set alight.

He remains in police custody at this time.
