Police in Derry City & Strabane have made a donation to a local charity following a forfeiture order granted by Londonderry Crown Court made following an investigation into the seizure of drugs and cash.
District Support Team Inspector Cathal Pearce said: “This was one of our cases that went through the Court. Controlled Class B drugs were seized during a vehicle stop in the Waterside area in October 2024, and a subsequent house search in the city when a further quantity of Class B controlled drugs and cash were seized.
“The Judge granted the Forfeiture Order we applied for and, as a result of this, we have been able to donate of £2,460 seized as part of the investigation to local charity HURT (Have Your Tomorrows)."

HURT supports young people in Derry/Londonderry, Limavady and Strabane who are dealing with alcohol and drug addiction.
