Police can confirm that a man, aged in his 40s, has died following a fire at a house in the Waring Street area of Ballymena, on Friday 26th December.

Police received a report of the fire shortly before 9.45am on Friday morning, and attended alongside colleagues from other emergency services but, sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fire are ongoing, however, at this stage the death is not being treated as suspicious.
