The Police Service of Northern Ireland can confirm one person has sadly died following a single-vehicle collision in the Caledon area on Saturday evening, 25th April.
Detective Inspector Dave Stewart, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Police received a report shortly after 11pm on Saturday of a collision involving a van in the Derrycourtney Road area.
“Officers, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, attended, however, sadly one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Derrycourtney Road, which was closed overnight, has since reopened.
“One arrest has been made and our enquiries are continuing. We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have digital footage which could assist with our investigation, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1706 of 25/04/26.”
