Police received a report of a light aircraft crash in the Saintfield Road area of Ballynahinch at around 2.50pm today, Sunday 10th May.
Emergency services colleagues also attended the scene.
One person was on board and, at this time, there are no reports of any serious injuries.
Air Accident Investigations Branch has been informed of the incident.
