Police investigating a report of assault and criminal damage caused to a house in the Brookhill Crescent area of Armagh on Monday, 24th November have charged a man to court.

The 34-year-old has been charged with two counts of common assault, non-fatal strangulation or asphyxiation, criminal damage and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

He has also been charged with disorderly behaviour, resisting police, and burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm.

The man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning, 26th November.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
