Police have charged a man to court following a report of criminal damage to a property and a vehicle in the Donegall Avenue area of south Belfast in the early hours of Sunday morning, 14th June.

The 44-year-old is charged with aggravated burglary with intent to commit unlawful damage, criminal damage and two counts of common assault.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 15th June.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

A 22-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of the same offences has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
