A man, who was arrested in north Belfast yesterday, has today, Wednesday 14 May, been charged with the attempted murder of a man in the Bell Steel Manor area of west Belfast, and the murder of Danny McClean.
The 50-year-old is expected to appear, in respect of both charges, before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 15 May.
He has also been charged with a number of firearms offences in relation to both incidents.
The man had also been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Jim Donegan, and has been released unconditionally.
As is usual procedure, all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
