Police have arrested a man and located a substantial quantity of suspected Class A drugs following a search of a property in Bangor.
Inspector Hart said: “Officers carried out an organised search of a house in the Beatrice Avenue area of the city shortly before 10am on Saturday, 6th July.
“As a result of this search, a quantity of suspected Class A drugs were seized along with a sum of cash, suspected Class B and C drugs, drugs-related paraphernalia, and a round of ammunition.
“The items have since been removed for further forensic examination as enquiries remain ongoing.
“A 34-year-old man was arrested at the property on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply, possession of a Class A controlled drug, and a number of other related offences.
“He remains in custody at this time as the investigation continues. Drug supply and misuse is a vicious cycle that we need to collectively break, and we all have a part to play.
“I would encourage anyone with information about the supply or use of illegal drugs to contact police on 101.”
