Police arrested a man after seizing a quantity of suspected Class A drugs from a property in Belfast yesterday, Wednesday, 23rd April.

Inspector Moutray said: “Officers conducted searches at two houses in the east of the city yesterday afternoon.

“A quantity of Class A drugs, together with a number of mobile phones, were located at one of the properties.

“A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug and possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply.

“He was later released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.”

Inspector Moutray continued: “We want to remind everyone about the dangers of drugs, and the importance of reporting information about drug-related activity in your community.

“There is still a lot of work to be done in tackling the very serious problem of drugs in our communities and we rely on the help of local people to do this.

“Any information, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, could help make a big difference in tackling this type of organised crime and the harm it causes.

“We will continue to be relentless in our commitment to tackle the illegal supply of drugs and pursue those who profit from the misery and harm that they cause.
