Police in south Belfast have arrested a man following a report of assault in the Lisburn Road area.

A report was received at around 7.50pm on Sunday, 31st August that a man had punched two other men and bitten one on the ear.

Officers attended and arrested a 25-year-old on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, disorderly behaviour and possession of a Class C controlled drug.

He remains in police custody at this time.
