Police have arrested a man following a report of a robbery at commercial premises in south Belfast yesterday evening, Wednesday 3rd December.
Inspector Brown said: “Officers received a report at approximately 9.40pm that a man had entered premises at Agincourt Avenue armed with a knife, and demanded that a staff member open the till.
“The suspect then made off with a quantity of cash. He was later located and arrested on suspicion of robbery, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, and possession of a controlled Class C drug.
“He remains in custody this morning, assisting with police enquiries.
“We are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses, and would ask anyone who can assist to get in touch via 101, and quote reference number 1523 of 03/12/25.”
