A man has been charged to court following a report that a man had been seen with a sword in the High Street area of Bangor on Thursday, 14th August.

The man, aged 20, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and threats to kill.

He is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 15th August.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
