Police in Derry/ Londonderry have charged a man to court in connection with drug-related offences.

The charges follow the search of a vehicle by officers from Derry City and Strabane District Support Team (DST) in the Infirmary Road area on Monday 2nd December. A follow-up search of a house in the city was conducted where a quantity of suspected Class A drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia were seized.

The 40-year-old man has been charged with a number of drug offences including being concerned in the supply of a Class A controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug and possessing criminal property.

He is due to appear before Londonderry Magistrates’ Court this morning, Tuesday 3rd December.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
