A 36 year old man has been charged with two counts of assault on police, resisting police, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and criminal damage.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday 3rd March. As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charges are in relation to a report of an incident which occurred at the West Belfast area on Friday 28th February, in which three police officers were injured. One of the officers received a broken thumb, another officer was bitten on the hand and the third officer was punched in the face during the incident.
