Detectives investigating a serious assault in the Burren Meadows area of Newcastle yesterday, Saturday 15th March, have charged a man to court.
The man, aged 27, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17th March.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
