Local Policing team officers in Strabane have charged a 20-year-old man with a number of offences to appear before Strabane Magistrate's Court next month following a road traffic collision in the Newtownstewart area at the weekend. 

The offences include Driving when unfit through drink or drug, Aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to another vehicle, and Using a motor vehicle without insurance.
The man is scheduled to appear before the Court on 16 July.  
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service. 

The charges follow the man's arrest after a report of a collision in the Newtownstewart area on Sunday morning, 21st June, in which it was reported the suspect made off from the scene.
