Detectives in Derry/ Londonderry investigating a serious assault have charged one man to court.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with assisting offenders. He is due before Londonderry Magistrates' Court on 8th July.

The men aged 61 and 31-years-old, both remain in police custody at this time.

The charge and arrests relate to an assault reported in the Leckey Road area of the city on Monday, 15th June.
