Police have charged a man to court following a report of an assault in the Glenbawn Park area of west Belfast on Friday, 12th December.

The 29-year-old is charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence. He is further charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of a Class C controlled drug.

He is due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 9th January, 2026.

As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
