Police investigating a report of threatening online messages made to a local elected representative on Friday 27th March have charged a man to court.
The man, aged 30, has been charged with a number of offences including improper use of public electric communications network and threatening or abusive behaviour.
He is expected to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 2nd April.
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
