Police have charged a man to court after officers from Derry City and Strabane’s District Support Team observed a vehicle being driven in a suspicious manner in the Clon Elagh area of the city during a routine patrol on Saturday, 9th August.
The 39-year-old was charged with driving when unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop for police, possession of a Class C controlled drug, importing a controlled drug and theft.
He was due to appear before Londonderry Magistrates’ Court this morning, Monday 11th August.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
