A 32 year old man has been charged with possession of Class A controlled drugs, possession of Class A controlled drugs with intent to supply, possession of Class C controlled drugs, possession of Class C controlled drugs with intent to supply and possession article with blade or point in a public place.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday 21st May. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges are in relation to a vehicle search at the Packenham Street area of Belfast and subsequent property search at the Ventry Lane area of the city by officers from the Belfast Crime Team on Tuesday 19th May.  A quantity of Class A controlled drugs with an estimated street value of £3,000, a quantity of Class C controlled drugs with an estimated street value of £5,000, £1,400 in cash and drugs paraphilia were seized.
