Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Serious Crime Branch have charged a 52-year-old man with possession of a class A controlled drug and offering to supply a class C controlled drug.

It follows a search of a house in Rodney Drive, west Belfast, this morning, Friday, 11th July. The search was part of an investigation into criminality linked to the New IRA.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 8th August.

As is procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
