A 41-year-old man has today been extradited from the Republic of Ireland to Northern Ireland in relation to sexual assault and handling stolen goods offences that occurred in Belfast in April 2019.
The man was arrested in the Republic of Ireland on 21st June 2025 on foot of an extradition warrant and today, Thursday 31st July, extradition proceedings were completed with his successful return to Northern Ireland.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland arrested the man at the time of the offences but he later skipped bail and has been sought for arrest since.
He is due to appear before Laganside Magistrates Court later today.
