Detectives in Omagh are investigating an aggravated burglary at a house in Culmore Park early this morning, Thursday 28 May.

Three men forced their way into the property by smashing a window in the rear door shortly before 2am.

The 28 year old male occupant was then badly beaten with metal bars by the intruders, who took the victim’s phone as they left.

One of the suspects is described as wearing a grey Adidas hoody with a black baseball cap and jeans, while the second was wearing a black jacket, baseball cap and jeans. The third was wearing jeans and a baseball cap. All three were described as wearing face coverings.

The victim has been treated for his injuries, including a head wound, and is recovering.
