The Police Service of Northern Ireland can confirm that man has sadly died following a serious road traffic collision in Cushendall yesterday, Sunday 28th June.


Detective Inspector Stewart, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Shortly before one pm, police received and responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on the Chapel Road.


"Colleagues from other emergency services were also in attendance.


"Sadly, the male rider of a motorcycle, who was 55 years old, and from the Bellaghy area, died at the scene.


"The Chapel Road, which was closed in both directions as enquiries were conducted, has now re-opened to motorists.


"Enquiries remain ongoing this morning, and we are appealing to anyone with information about the collision, or who has dash-cam footage of what happened, to contact police using our witness appeal form at https://reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals quoting reference 863 28/06/26, or call us on 101.
