Police at Lisburn Road are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of an assault which occurred in the Fountain Street area of Belfast on Tuesday evening, 10th December.
Sergeant Rooney said: “It was reported that at around 6.30pm, a man threw an ashtray at another male, and a woman, which missed them.
“An altercation then is believed to have taken place between the male victim and a number of other men, and the man was reported to have been assaulted, sustaining a broken wrist which required hospital treatment.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident, and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, and saw what happened.
“If anyone has any information which might assist us, please call 101, and quote reference number 1378 of 14/12/24.”
