Police are investigating a potential link between two overnight burglaries in Broughshane.

We received two reports this morning, Saturday 7th June, that a business premises in Main Street and a church building in the Buckna Road area had been entered overnight.

We understand a till was opened and rummaged through and a sum of money was taken, as well as a mobile phone from the business premises.

A number of electrical goods, including televisions and recording equipment were stolen from the church after access was gained through the rear of the building.

Both investigations are at an early stage and at present we are exploring the possibility that these reports are connected.

We would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in these areas last night, Friday 7th June, into the early hours of this morning to make contact with police on 101 quoting reference numbers 393 and 482 08/06/24.

Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/
