Police in Derry/Londonderry investigating the report of an assault in the city last weekend, in the vicinity of the Peace Bridge, have concluded their enquiries. 

Following these enquiries into what was being investigated, at the time, as a homophobic hate crime, police are satisfied no crime the nature of what was reported occurred.

Police are no longer appealing for witnesses, and want to thank everyone who assisted with enquiries and was involved in the investigation.
