Road users and members of the public are advised to expect potential traffic disruption and delays in the Mid and East Antrim and Causeway Coast and Glens districts due to a number of planned parades on Monday, 13th July.

Officers will be present to manage traffic and public safety during this time. To avoid potential delays, please allow extra time for your journey and seek an alternative route where possible. Traffic information for the main parades is as follows:

Limavady

In Limavady, the parade is due to begin at 11.45am, with a break at 1.45pm when traffic is able to move through the town until 3pm.

The parade is expected to finish at 7pm, commencing on Church Street, Ballyclose Street, Main Street, Linenhall Street, Catherine Street, Irish Green Street, Roemill Gardens, Roemill Road, and finishing at Limavady Orange Field.

The return parade route will take Roemill Road, William Street, Protestant Street, Catherine Street, Linenhall Street, Main Street, Ballyclose Street and Church Street.

There will also be return parades breaking off from the main parade to terminate in various points of the town.

Ballymoney

Ballymoney’s parade will begin at 1pm, with a break at 2.30pm when traffic can move around the town until 4.15pm.

The parade will end at 5.30pm, and its route will follow the Coleraine Road, Model Schools Road, North Street into the showgrounds, Charlotte Street, Main Street, Meetinghouse Street, Newal Road, Trinity Drive, John Street, Victoria Street, Linenhall Street, High Street, Model School Road, and North Road.

The return parade route will proceed via North Road, Model School Road, High Street, Main Street, Meetinghouse Street, Rodden Foot and Ballymena Road.

Kilrea

Kilrea’s parade will start at 12pm, breaking at approximately 2pm when traffic can flow until 3.30pm. The parade will finish at 5pm.

Its outward route will follow Drumagarner Road, New Row, Maghera Street, Old Market Yard, Lisnagrot Road, Church Street, Bridge Street, Mill Road, Coleraine Street, Maghera Street and Garvagh Road

The return parade route will proceed via Garvagh Road, Maghera Street, Coleraine Street, Mill Road, Bridge Street, Church Street, Lisnagrot Road, Old Market Yard, Maghera Street, New Row and Drumagarner Road.

Rasharkin

In Rasharkin, the parade will begin at 12.30pm, stopping at 2.30pm when traffic can flow until 5pm, with the parade finishing at approximately 6.30pm.

The outward parade route will proceed via Finvoy road, Main Street and Church Road. It will return from Church Road, Main Street, Moneyleck Road, Bridge Street and dispersing on Finvoy Road.

Portglenone

Portglenone’s parade will begin at 12.30pm, breaking at 1.30pm when traffic can flow until 4pm, with the parade finishing at approximately 5.15pm.

The outward parade route will proceed via Hiltonstown Road, Cullybackey Road, Main Street, Portglenone Bridge, Ballymacombs Road junction, and back over bridge onto Gortgole Road, into the Marina.

The return parade route follows Gortgole Road and Main Street, splitting at Townhill Road and  Cullybackey Road Roundabout.
