Detectives investigating an attack on a mosque in Greenwell Street in Newtownards in the early hours Saturday 10th August, arrested a second man today, Tuesday 13th August.
The man, aged 46, was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including attempted arson with intent to endanger life, making a petrol bomb and criminal damage. He has since been released on police bail.
A 42-year-old man arrested on Sunday, 11th August, was also released on police bail to allow for further enquiries.
Enquiries are continuing and anyone with any information or footage that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 53 of 10/08/24.
