An earlier security alert in the Houston Park area of east Belfast has now ended. Police received a report at approximately 1:50pm today, Wednesday 8th April, of a suspicious object in the area.

Officers attended the scene along with Ammunition Technical Officers (ATO) who examined the object which has been deemed as nothing untoward.

Temporary cordons in the area have now been lifted.
