A security alert in the Glen Road area of Andersonstown, west Belfast, has now ended.

Inspector Adams said: “Shortly after 10.30pm yesterday evening, Monday 2nd February, police received a report that a viable device had been left in the area.

“Ammunition technical officers attended, and carried out a thorough search of the area, however nothing untoward has been located.

“The Glen Road has this morning, Tuesday 3rd February, been re-opened.

“Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing ,and I would appeal to anyone with any information to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1739 02/02/26.”
