An 18-year-old male has been charged in connection with an assault on an officer in Ardboe when his arm was pinned between a vehicle and a police car.
He faces 10 charges including dangerous driving, assault on police, two counts of failure to report an accident when injury and damage occurred, two counts of failure to stop, two of failure to remain, driving without insurance and obstructing an officer.
A police officer was injured after his arm was pinned between a vehicle and police car in the Kilmascally Road area Ardboe outside Dungannon on Saturday night, 27th July. The officer attended hospital for assessment to an arm and hand injury.
The teenager is due to appear before Dungannon Magistrates' Court on 23rd August. As is procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
