Officers from the Titanic & East Belfast Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a search of a property on Friday 28th February, which resulted in three arrests.

Detective Inspector Corrigan said: “Police conducted a search of a property in the Short Strand area of East Belfast under the Misuse of Drugs Act. A quantity of suspected  Class A controlled drugs with an estimated street value of £40,000 was seized and taken away for further forensic examination. 

“One woman in her 70s and two men, one aged in his 50s and one man aged in his 40s, were arrested on suspicion of drugs related offences. All three have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

“We are committed to investigating all aspects of illegal drug criminality and continue to listen to the community and act on any information provided to us.
