Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Serious Crime Branch have today, Tuesday 9 December, made three arrests following searches previously carried out in County Down.
A 38-year-old man was arrested in Ballynahinch, a 40-year-old woman was arrested in Lurgan, while a 48-year-old man was arrested in Kilkeel.
All three were arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000 and have been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
Today’s arrests are part of a cross-border investigation, carried out in conjunction with An Garda Síochána, into violent right-wing extremism.
